What’s in it for you

Want every call to sound confident, from hello to solution?

On the phone, the conversation is the product. Customers can’t see you, so they judge your confidence, expertise and willingness to help by how you listen, speak and guide the call.

This course gives you a proven pattern for every call, so you stay in control, help customers more effectively and still sound like yourself.

  • More confident calls from beginning to end
  • Clearer solutions customers understand
  • More natural, human conversations

Still have questions? Get in touch
Who should attend this course?
Anyone who looks after customers on the phone: contact centre advisors, customer service representatives, help desk and support staff, and other frontline roles. It suits people who are new to the role and experienced staff who want to strengthen their conversation skills.
What topics are covered?
The course is built on a proven 4-step pattern: Greet, Listen, Control and Solve. Within each step you learn and practise the behaviours that matter most, including tone of voice, listening, meaningful empathy, smart questioning, conversation control, personalisation and positive language.
When are the sessions?
Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 February 2027, from 12:30pm to 4:30pm AEDT (Melbourne and Sydney time) on both days. You’ll receive your Zoom link before the course starts.
What if I can’t make these dates?
See the other upcoming dates, or talk to us about a private course for your team on dates that suit you.
Does it cover different types of calls?
Yes. You learn how to adapt your approach to basic enquiries, product and service enquiries, problem solving and calls where follow-up is needed, while keeping the fundamentals of Respect, Expertise and Solution.
How is the course run?
It’s practical. You apply each technique through exercises, call evaluations and role plays, so you leave with the judgement and confidence to use them in real customer conversations.
How is the course delivered?
Live online via Zoom over 2 × 4-hour sessions on separate days, so people can join from anywhere with minimal disruption to rosters. Public courses run on set dates; private courses are for your team only, on dates that suit you.
Can Daniel deliver the course onsite?
Daniel is based in Germany, so this course runs live online. If you’d like him onsite with your team, talk to us and we’ll quote it, including travel.
Can the course be customised for our team?
The content and format are fixed: it’s a proven course that Daniel delivers the same way every time. In a private course there’s always time to talk through your team’s real situations and challenges.
How much does it cost?
Public courses are $550 per person (ex GST) for 8 hours of live training. Save 15% when you book three or more tickets in the same transaction, and ACXPA members save 25%. Private courses for your team (minimum 5 participants) are priced once we understand what you need.
Will the course definitely go ahead?
Public courses need a minimum number of participants to run, so we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a date if too few people book. If that happens, we’ll let you know as early as possible and you can move to another date or get a full refund.
What’s included?
Two live 4-hour sessions with Daniel, course materials, practical exercises and a certificate of completion for everyone who completes the course.
What do participants need?
A computer with a stable internet connection, Zoom, and a headset and camera for the best experience.
Is there a lower-cost or self-paced option?
Yes. Our self-paced library is a much cheaper way to build phone skills at your own pace, from $9.15 per person a month, with short courses and 1-minute videos that fit around shifts.

An ACXPA membership is another option: members save 25% on live public courses and get 12 months of tools, templates and live sessions.
How do I book?
Choose how many tickets you need in the ticket box at the top of this page, then check out by card or invoice. To train a whole team privately, talk to us or call +61 3 9008 7287.
